W. Newton Mass. July 24. 1855.
Dear Anne, Hurried as I am, on this morning of departure, for our white shadows of Mt. "Himaleh," I ought to write and thank you for your sonnets.
Three letters yesterday morning asked when you would write again, a question which I dare not repeat only hint.
I sent you from Boston, The Journal of Music, where the finest critic in America does you delicate justice.
When I return Sept. 1. I want to come and see your giant trees, with their leaves on. I dream of them often.
May God bless and keep. your vigorous thoughtful soul -
prays your sincere friend
Caroline H. Dall.
Miss Anne Whitney
