Abstract
My thesis focused on measurements and modeling of CO and CO2 in the vacuum ultraviolet range. In CO, the measurements covered the B(2)-X(0) band in multiple isotopologues, and the modeling followed the measurements in an attempt to re-create the measured spectrum. For CO2, my thesis contains a draft of a paper containing the first modern, high-resolution photoabsorption cross-sections measured below 106 nm.
