Description

Letter describing the festivities around Mary Whiton Calkins being awarded an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from Columbia University. She also discusses the laying of the cornerstone for the new library, and the contents of a copper box that was put into the cornerstone, placed ceremoniously by Pauline Durant. Finally, she discusses the unveiling of a monument to Alice Freeman Palmer.
