Postcard to her mother describing an early practice and breakfast with Crew and an invitation to travel to England with the Speech department over the summer.
[May 14, 1935] Tuesday Dearest - Crew call out at 6:30 this AM. was fun, breakfast after in Agora, w [mis-spelling: with] somebody else getting it. Member I had the job last year. Letter fr [mis-spelling: from] Ralph who’s signed a contract w [mis-spelling: with] the camp in Maryland for the summer & is elated about it. And - a letter fr [mis-spelling: from] the Speech department asking if I were interested in going to England this summer! Details too numerous now - I’ll tell you about it soon - and we can talk about it. 2 weeks in London, one in Oxford & Malvern, one at Stratford-in-Avon. Part of expenses paid by scholarship, the rest I’ll tell you about later. Wouldn’t it be marvelous for us though? [image: drawing of a smiley face] Drat that novel to interrupt my thought!
