Dayton Ohio May 26th 1864 Dear Papa and Mamma, We are so lonesome without you, the first night you were gone Aunt Mary went up stairs and when she came down she said "It is so lonesome without her" then I knew she meant you. Baby is quite happy out to Aunt Libs. Baby was in town this morning and I was out there a little while too she goes colu colu all the time. Please to bring Papa home as soon as his leg is well enough to come he is to choose his own bed and is to sleep in the parlor. Grandma has had not had any trouble with us except once or twice the boys got into the water Robbie got barefooted and so Grandpa sent them both to bed. Grandma lets me sit up till nine oclock at night. Releive your Affectionate Daughter Sarah P.S. May I use the envelopes with the pictures on #Sella to us Both May 26th 1864#
